Sinus & Allergy Wellness Center Gives Back: Supporting Feed My Starving Children
For our team at Sinus & Allergy Wellness Center, community involvement isn’t something separate from what we do—it’s part of it.
Recently, a group of us spent time volunteering at a Feed My Starving Children event in the Phoenix area. It wasn’t about stepping into something unfamiliar—it felt like a natural extension of how we already work together every day, just in a different setting.

What One Hour Looked Like
The process was simple: pack meals, keep the line moving, stay coordinated. But once things got going, the pace picked up quickly.
There wasn’t much downtime. Everyone found a rhythm, jumping between roles, helping where needed, and keeping things moving without overthinking it. Before long, boxes were stacking up, and it was clear how much had been accomplished in a short window.
As Matt Ghanem, CEO of National Breathe Free, put it:
“What stood out to me wasn’t just the impact—it was how quickly it happened. In one hour, our team made a real difference. That says a lot about what’s possible when good people come together with the right intention.”
A Different Kind of Teamwork
What made the experience stand out wasn’t just the work—it was the shift in environment.
In the clinic, everything is structured and fast-paced in a different way. Here, it was still focused, but more collaborative in a hands-on sense. People talked more, laughed more, and still got a lot done.
Orlando Vargas, Regional Operations Director, shared it best:
“Our teams care deeply about the patients we serve every day, and this is just an extension of that. Being able to step outside the clinic and give back together—it brings a different kind of energy and connection.”
Why It Sticks With You
It’s easy to think of healthcare as something that happens only inside an exam room. But moments like this are a reminder that being part of a community means showing up in different ways.
For us, serving patients across the Valley also means being present outside of appointments—contributing where we can, when we can.

What’s Next
This won’t be a one-time event. As a team, we’re looking for more ways to stay involved locally and continue building those connections.
If you’re part of the community we serve, chances are you’ll see us out there again.
